Black Creek Permaculture is committed to all three ethics of permaculture: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share. An essential element of the second and third ethics is ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious high quality food. We work with local gleaning programs to donate several tons of harvested produce to food pantries and soup kitchens in the county. We have some volunteer harvest days, but for the entire production season we pay wages for our harvesting crew.

Harvesting for the food pantryWe’re also passionate about education, which is why we run a variety of talks, workshops, open days, and outreach both on and off the farm.
